Welcome to XChef ("App", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the XChef mobile application and related services. By using the app, you agree to these Terms.

2. User Accounts

To access most features of XChef, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and all activity under it.

3. Health and Allergy Disclaimer

XChef provides AI-generated recipes for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee that any recipe is free from allergens (e.g. nuts, dairy, gluten, etc.) or suitable for your specific health needs. You are solely responsible for checking ingredients and verifying safety before preparing or consuming any dish. We are not liable for allergic reactions, injuries, or health issues resulting from app usage.

3.1 Food Safety and Medical Disclaimers

Food Safety: Always follow proper food safety practices, including cooking to recommended temperatures and proper storage. We are not responsible for foodborne illnesses.
Nutritional Information: Any nutritional information provided is AI-generated and should be considered approximate. Consult with healthcare professionals for dietary advice.
Medical Advice: This app is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult healthcare providers for dietary restrictions or health conditions.
Ingredient Substitutions: Users are responsible for verifying ingredient substitutions and their safety for their specific dietary needs.

4. User-Generated Content

By uploading photos, recipes, or other content to XChef, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and process your content for app functionality. You retain ownership of your content.

Content Guidelines: You agree not to upload inappropriate, harmful, or illegal content.
Content Removal: We reserve the right to remove any content that violates our guidelines.
Content Accuracy: You are responsible for the accuracy and safety of any content you upload.

5. AI and Machine Learning

XChef uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to generate recipes and analyze food images. By using our service, you acknowledge:

Data Processing: Your uploaded images and usage data may be processed by AI systems to improve our services.
Algorithm Transparency: We do not guarantee transparency of our AI algorithms or decision-making processes.

6. App Store and Platform Terms

XChef is distributed through the Apple App Store and must comply with Apple's terms of service. By downloading or using the app, you also agree to Apple's App Store terms and conditions.

We collect and process user data as outlined in our Privacy Policy. We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable privacy regulations.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to misuse the app, upload offensive or harmful content, or violate any applicable laws. Any features related to alcohol or dietary choices are used at your own discretion and responsibility.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, including logos, recipes, text, design, and AI-generated material, is the property of XChef or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for damages, injuries, or losses resulting from use, misuse, or reliance on the content of the app. Always exercise your own judgment.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app indicates your acceptance of the most current version of the Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus. Any disputes arising will be resolved in the courts of the Republic of Cyprus.

13. Protection of Intellectual Property and Reverse Engineering

You agree not to copy, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code, structure, UI/UX, recipe logic, or internal algorithms of XChef. You may not use any part of the app to build or assist in building a competing product or service.
